Mikroplastik steckt überall – auch in Waschmittel. Und wir können euch beim besten Willen nicht erklären, warum das so ist. Es gibt keinen logischen Grund, warum in Waschmittel Mikroplastik ist, aber es ist so.
Schlimm genug, dass sich mit jedem (!) Mal, das wir unsere Elasthan-, Polyethylen-, Fleece- und Mischstoff-Klamotten waschen, winzige Plastikpartikel aus den Stoffen lösen und ins Abwasser gelangen. Im Waschmittel selbst ist auch noch Plastik…Von der Verpackung ganz zu schweigen.
Dabei ist es gar nicht so schwer, sein Waschmittel selbst zu machen. Die meisten Zutaten für Waschpulver hat man – spätestens nachdem man beschlossen hat, ein Öko-Spinner zu werden 
– sowieso zuhause.
Außerdem gibt es auch noch Mittel aus der Natur, die sich kostenlos und ohne größeren Aufwand zu Waschen benutzen lassen: Kastanien und Efeu! Aber fangen wir erstmal mit einer “konventionellen” Waschmittelvariante an.
Unser Lieblingsrezept für Waschpulver
100g Spülmaschinensalz
100g Kernseife
150g reine Soda
150g Natron
Die Kernseife kann man problemlos mit der Käsereibe klein raspeln.
Für weiße Wäsche gibt man noch 100-150g Zitronensäure dazu.
KEINE Soda bei Wolle verwenden – die lieben sich nicht!
Einen Esslöffel ins Wäschefach geben – fertig!
Wir machen immer gleich 3x so viel und das hält in einem Haushalt mit zwei Personen circa ein halbes Jahr. Als Weichspüler benutzen wir stark verdünnte Essigessenz (pro Waschgang ca. 2 Esslöffel) mit 2-3 Tropfen Lavendelöl zu jedem Waschgang – das duftet herrlich!
Manch einer mag jetzt aufschreien, dass durch der Essig ja die Gummischläuche kaputt gehen, allerdings haben wir in vielen Gruppen schon von Menschen gelesen, die das seit Jahrzehnten machen und deren Maschinchen tadellos laufen. Inzwischen sind die meisten Elektrogeräte von der Industrie sowieso schon so gebaut, dass irgendetwas anderes kaputt geht, lange bevor der Essig auch nur Gelegenheit hatte, irgendwelche Schläuche zu zerfressen.
Aber mit Efeu und Kastanien waschen? Ja, das geht! Beide enthalten nämlich Saponine – chemische Verbindungen, die – vermischt mit Wasser – seifenähnliche Eigenschaften aufweisen und sich daher hervorragend zum Waschen eigenen.
Mit Efeu ist das ganz einfach: Efeu sammeln (Handschuhe sind empfehlenswert!), eine Handvoll grob hacken, in einen Socken stopfen und diesen verknoten und ab in die Waschtrommel – fertig.
